Mandarin Eucalyptus Clove Cleanse

We're all hooked on the candles - but you know, Gold Canyon is bigger than just candles. We also have amazing Home and Body lines.

This story begins in my kitchen. I have a microwave above my range and it collects gunk on top. You all know what I'm talking about, the grease-mixed-with-dust that gets on top of your cupboards or hood. I can't see mine from the floor but I know it's there, and every time I deep clean my kitchen and climb up where I can see it, I try to get rid of it. I've tried dish soap, 409 spray, Clorox spray, Pine-Sol, and whatever other cleaning product I have on hand at the moment. All of those products wipe off the top layer but I'm always left with a grimy impossibility. I seriously thought that was just part of my kitchen I had to live with...

...UNTIL, I bought my first Homeology Mandarin Eucalyptus Clove Cleanse powder. I was walking around my house, thinking, what will I clean first? I went to the toilet, and truth be told, it's fragrance isn't what I was looking for in my bathroom. It's too yummy and almost edible for me. So I took it to my kitchen. I started with my sink. It did a very nice job and smelled as wonderful as I wanted it to. That great smell makes me want to clean more... so... I looked around my kitchen thinking, what can I clean with cleanser in here? Ah-ha!

The nasty part of the microwave! I knew my Gold Canyon cleanse powder would offer a gentle scrub that wouldn't scratch the finish, so I simply sprinkled, wet my cloth, and easily wiped away all of the stuck-on grime in a cinch! It was so easy and so fun I wanted to make a commercial right then and there! Seriously, I had scrubbed so hard with other cleaners and scrubby pads. With this it was the cleanser and a plain old rag - and hardly any "elbow grease" required!

Voila! here is the clean, finished product! It has seriously never been this smooth, white and shiny since we bought our house!

All of this happened like a couple of months ago when this powder was newly released. I've been using it regularly for all of my kitchen-cleansing needs, typically in my sink and stove-top. The reason I'm finally posting this is because tonight I appreciated its glory all over again! I made crock-pot chicken yesterday, and after a late night of ball games I was too tired and didn't rinse out the crock pot, I just let it sit and dry all night long. Bad move. This morning when I loaded my dishwasher I placed that dried-on-crusty-chicken pot in the dishwasher and crossed my fingers. I should have known when I pulled it out, it wouldn't even be close to clean. Ugh! I didn't feel like soaking and scraping....... but then... I remembered my Mandarin Eucalyptus Clove Cleanse powder!

I pulled that yummy, magical stuff out from under my sink and sprinkled.... a few wipes with my dish cloth and the crock pot was sparkling clean! It was so easy and as the catalog says, "hassle free". I LOVE THIS STUFF! It doesn't just smell good, it works good AND it's environmentally friendly! I hope you will all order your own today, and if you already have it, use it so you can have your own testimonial for your customers.

Cleanse away the day and let go of dirt, grime and stress! 10.2oz #61010 $8.98

Can YOU Help People Affected by the Economy?

Dr. Tom Barrett is an expert that supports and believes in direct sales. I received his newsletter in which he was giving his thoughts on what WE, you and me, can do about the economy today. I believe them and I want to share them with you. He says:

I believe your business is the antitoxin that is needed by millions of people right now.
I believe you need to form a relay team of entrepreneurs willing to deliver hope to people who are feeling powerless.
I believe you, not the government, hold in your hands the serum that will give people their lives back.
I believe you are tough enough for the journey, even though it will not always be easy.
I believe that one day people will look back and thank you for saving their families.
I believe you should speak about your business with passion and compassion.
People need you and your business.

Go for the GOLD and share Gold Canyon with everyone.
Remember, it’s our job to share and their right to choose!

MARCH Recognition

I wasn't able to post recognition in February, please forgive me! Let me start out this month by welcoming our new demonstrators. I am very happy to welcome Julia Marino (PA) and Deandra Baltierrez (AZ) to my frontline. Other newer demonstrators include, Sheridan Givens (AZ), Tasha Jacquez (NM), and Megan Moreno (AZ) both have been selling 6 months or less. You guys are all going to do GREAT!

We have an amazing demonstrator who beats us all in her personal website sales every month and I want to recognize her for 14 personal website orders in February. Melanie Davis (AZ) you are top notch! Right on her tail is Gina Anderson (GU) with 9 and Mary Fulk (AZ) with 8 personal website orders! You're all obviously doing a wonderful job marketing your websites.

One of our team members had an AMAZING party this month. Everyone put your hands together for one of my favorite spunky demonstrators, MARY REYNOLDS (AZ) who turned in a party order of $1005. I would have loved to have been there to see you shine, Mary! I'm sure your host was pleased with her rewards. Keep up the fabulous work!!!

A few other noteworthy parties were from Sandra Hessert (AZ) $640, Lisa Thorpe (OK) $576, Ronda Strauss (NY) $516 and Megan Moreno (AZ) $433. Happy Birthday to You

A good friend of mine had the cutest idea for her birthday party that we can all utilize in our businesses! She is having a home party and inviting all her friends to come buy themselves a gift and she'll use her host credit to get herself a gift! It is going to be so much fun!

Decorations, invitations, games and refreshments for a Birthday Candle Party are "a piece of cake"! The possibilities are endless.

If you haven't already, start noting your host and guest birthdates in your customer database, then give them a call a few weeks ahead to plan their Birthday Candle Party with you!

Another idea is to mail a card to your hosts/guests on their birthday with a discount coupon and/or a free tealight, Auto Gold or other small gift. Have fun and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Do YOU Avoid Asking For Referrals Because...

... you're afraid to IMPOSE?

Do you have team members that are out of bookings? Worse yet, are you out of or very low on bookings? This weekend I was sort of complaining to my sister-in-law that business has been slow. She is a consultant for another company and she responded, "Not for me! I had a party Friday night and this is going to be my biggest month of sales since the Christmas rush!" Her comment reminded me that I can sit on the sidelines and complain or I can do something pro-active for my business. That's what I'm doing TODAY, won't you?
Here is an excerpt I enjoyed from Karen Phelps' newsletter on Asking for Referrals:
I attended a training class last night and while I was there I gave two fellow attendees the name of the sales contact for a particular service that I use. I don't get anything for it, but I like the product and the salesperson did his job so I might as well send business his way. I'm in sales! Referring people is part of what I do. Do you make it a part of what you do also?
Often, when I listen to training materials myself, I find myself asking questions that direct sellers just like you want to know the answer to. That's what happened this week as I was riding my stationary bike and listening to a training program. Wham, just like a smack in the head. We don't ask for referrals because we are afraid to impose! Where in the heck does that come from? What happens when someone asks you for a referral? Do you oblige? If not, why not? Are they imposing on you or are they really just asking you to share the names of people that could benefit from the same products or services you are benefiting from?
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard the saying, what goes around comes around. You must give in order to receive. Never has this been more true than with people who make their living in SALES!!!! How can you begin to immediately get referrals from your customers? Simple, ask for them!
"Hi Sherrie, this is Karen Phelps and I was calling to see how you are enjoying the product you purchased from Susie's party? I'm so glad it's working out for you because my business thrives on satisfied customers. You know Sherrie, our satisfied customers always refer friends or family that can use our product. I have a special gift just for you when you refer 5 people who might be interested. Who do you know that might be interested in finding out a little more?"
I was in direct sales less than a year when I figured out, if you don't ask, you don't get! Quit being a "scaredy cat" and start asking your satisfied customers for referrals today.

Customer Service

Before I post on customer service, I wanted to give a quick recognition to 3 demonstrators I know of who have fundraisers in the works. None of the 3 are GOLD demonstrators - but all will reap the lucrative rewards of a Gold Canyon fundraiser. Great job, Shaunda, Traci and Katie!!!

Recently Stephanie Rouly held an awesome training session on customer service at an area meeting. The next day her husband shared the following clip with her and she was so kind to share it with us. ENJOY and thanks, Stephanie! Click on this link to watch a 5-minute video that will remind you of why and how we can make an impact in what we do. You may even want to share it with others, and I hope you will. It's amazing how one young grocery store bagger made such a wonderful impact on his customers.
